As the owner of Public Safety UAS, David’s operational experience, personal crisis management, and Drone technology expertise have allowed him to develop training courses designed specifically for Public Safety. With over 9 years of law enforcement experience specializing in violent crime investigations and operations, David has successfully trained, consulted, and established Drone pilots/teams on drone tactics and operational procedures for dozens of public safety organizations.

Upon earning a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Justin began his law enforcement career with the Greensboro (NC) Police Department. As a 12-year veteran, Justin has valuable experience as an Investigator assigned to a Street Crimes unit before becoming a member of the SWAT team. Justin is an NC DOJ-certified instructor and conducts regular training on the topics of firearms and Rapid Deployment/Active Shooter. He instructs indoor drone tactics for SWAT operations and violent crime reduction investigations.

Donald began his law enforcement career following College. In the past 8 years, Donald has served in a variety of roles ranging from SWAT Operator to Narcotics Detective. Donald specializes in undercover narcotics operations as well as urban and rural surveillance operations and is a licensed FAA UAS operator, overseeing his agency’s Drone Program. Donald has flown numerous missions including tactical indoor operations, narcotics surveillance operations, and search and rescue missions for various local, state, and federal agencies.

Shawn Roscoe

After attending College, Shawn transitioned from a career in Operations Management to law enforcement. With 14 years of specialized investigative, operational, and tactical experience specializing in the areas of interdiction, narcotics, weapons, and surveillance investigations. Shawn is a North Carolina Advanced Law Enforcement Officer, an NC DOJ Instructor, a licensed FAA UAS Pilot, and has earned his master’s degree in criminal justice.

 

Jake Craig

 Upon completing his tour in the United States Marine Corps, Jake became a defense contractor in Iraq. After joining the North Carolina Department of Corrections he began his law enforcement career. Jake has worked in a variety of roles within his department including a plain-clothes investigator as a part of a violent crime reduction unit. He is a licensed FAA UAS pilot and has flown countless rescue and tactical missions for various agencies and regularly instructs public safety in UAS operations and indoor drone tactics. 

Mike Lewis

In his 8 years as a Law Enforcement investigator, Mike has worked in a variety of correctional and enforcement roles including managing specialized drone operations for the Guilford County Sherriff’s Department. As a Detective, surveillance specialist, and certified NC DOJ instructor, Mike has also flown hundreds of missions providing him with valuable experience. Mike has been instrumental in consulting agencies on operational drone usage and procedures. 

Jon Denotter

With over 16 years of law enforcement experience, Jon has held a variety of roles from SWAT operator to Detective. He’s supervised his agency’s Problem-Oriented-Policing Team and is currently the Drone Program Manager for the Rocky Mount Police Department. Jon has years of knowledge and experience working with local, state, and federal agencies in the areas of 2D and 3D sUAS mapping, indoor tactical flight operations, and search and rescue operations, gained from flying hundreds of missions.
